Gingerbread Angel

This is the gingerbread angel my mom made me as a tree topper. Cut from brown paper, she then stuffed him with polyfill, stitched him up with brown thread and then iced the sweet boy with puff paint. Wooden buttons and gingham patches (to hide bite marks!!) add the finishing touches. His feathers are there, it's just hard to tell from the light wall paint.

I have a small space underneath the stairwell in the dining room where I put up a gingerbread and glass candy tree. I have the opportunity to re-decorate it everyday after the damaging effects of swishing dog tails and playful cats.
