Rainy, cloudy day here in Punxsy. John's day off and we were planning to head out to Immaculate Conception's rummage sale, but then decided, because of the rain and the lazy feel to the day, that we would just stay indoors. Actually, this was 95% John's decision as I am always up for a rummage sale...
I stayed in my pajamas all day long (always a fun thing to do!). John wanted waffles and we were almost out of maple syrup, so I made some blueberry compote and then made him his waffles. We talked about nothing in particular, laughed easily about any little thing, ate way too many carbohydrates and enjoyed each other's company.
I love these kinds of days: no planned meetings or emergency calls that send John rushing out to a hospital or funeral home. Just the two of us together, comfortable and happy and relaxed.
Fair warning to family: John bought a camcorder; which is something we've been wanting for a long time. Be prepared the next time you see us to be forever captured in digital glory. Don't be shy!-do and say ridiculously cute things so we can giggle about you years from now.

you should try my stuffed french toast recipe sometime..if you want carb overload, this will satisfy you, i can assure you!
I've never heard of stuffed french toast, but it sounds like something I would love to have as a part of my life! How are you feeling? Better, I hope!
